The natural world inspires Kirsten's work. Her art captures the best of what is beautiful and helps us find a place of honor for it in our lives. Her sculpture work is sometimes very large and often quite gritty, but ends up feeling beautiful. She is known for her large iron animal sculptures, sculptural lighting and her work expands into paintings of ephemeral landscapes and bold horses.

She is an adaptable artist and doesn't fear working with new ideas and materials. In her  studio there are several projects rolling at all times.  All of her work loops back to one common source which is her deep-seated love and concern for  the natural world. Her work is made to help devolve a deeper love and respect for the natural world. She is astonished by what she sees and works to share that experience. 

She earned her BFA in Metalsmithing at SIU, Carbondale, IL & Curtain University in, Western Australia. 

Kirsten and her husband live in Montana where they raise four wild girls, host many animals, created Map Brewery, and try to make the most out of living in a beautiful place.

Her fine art is featured in public and private collections around the globe.
